INFRASTRUCTURE

The layer that issues, updates and delivers the card. You just set the rules.

The part of Montipass you don’t see: signed Apple Wallet passes, live push, a location-aware pass model and a campaign engine. You switch things on in the panel and the rest runs in the background.

HOW IT WORKS

Three parts, one flow

Pass issuing and live updates

A signed wallet pass (Apple and Google) is generated on the server for every customer. When a stamp, reward or the card design changes, the card on the device is refreshed quietly by push. The customer does nothing.

Location-aware pass model

The pass model is built to carry the business’s locations, so the lock screen reminder shown when a customer is nearby is ready at this layer. Switching it on and off from the panel is on the roadmap.

Scheduled and triggered messages

The campaign engine runs in the background. Rules such as “when they haven’t visited for a while”, “when they are close to a reward” or “on a specific date” are set once and reach every member who meets the condition automatically.

DATA AND SECURITY

Your business’s data stays yours

Customer and visit data is held in a PostgreSQL database running on a server we rent in Turkey. Each business sees only its own workspace: access is restricted at database level by row-level security (RLS) policies.

  • Encryption in transit: all panel, pass service and API traffic runs over TLS.
  • Role-based access: owner, manager and staff roles; sensitive keys are kept only on the server and never reach the browser.
  • Daily backups: the database is backed up automatically every day and the backups are stored separately from the server (Cloudflare R2, European Union); card issuing resumes from the queue after an outage.
  • Export: you can download customer and visit records at any time. The data stays with you.

Developer access

The Chain plan opens API access for programmatic pass issuing, webhooks for visit events and bulk export. Documentation for the endpoints is in preparation; chains that would like access can get in touch.

Note: Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are trademarks of their respective owners. The card model covers both.

You set the rules, the infrastructure does the work.

Sign up and design your first card. Pass issuing, updates and notifications are ready in the background.
